What is the role?
As our Ecommerce Country Manager, you will be part of an exciting journey within a newly formed EU project team consisting of our Global Head of Amazon, Sales Director for retail and yourself. This role will be accountable for driving forwards the EU expansion team whilst also driving our online sales growth via D2C across Europe (fulfilment from our German Warehouse), managing our Meta, Google and SEO marketing efforts in country (can be via an agency) and ensuring a seamless experience for our EU D2C customers taking learnings from our thriving UK D2C business which equates for 80% off our UK sales.
You will be responsible for managing and optimising our EU specific e-commerce operations, driving revenue, and managing CRM campaigns and D2C promo strategy across Europe, with a focus on Germany. Your expertise will be crucial in achieving our sales and profit targets and ensure we are delivering the best user experience whilst growing our awareness in Germany and beyond.
Essential Skills
Fluent in English and German (Speaking and written)
3+ Years in Ecommerce ideally in FMCG, supplements or food
Proficient experience working with Shopify, Rebuy, Skio (or recharge) & loyalty platforms
Experience working with Meta Ads, google ads or other advertising platforms within the EU (could have been managed through an agency).
Strong commercial and trade experience, with a deep understanding of the key levers to pull throughout the marketing funnel to drive growth within e-commerce in country, specifically Germany.

Understanding of a Keto/Paleo or ancestrally inspired lifestyle
Key roles and responsibilities:
Website & Localisation Management: Take ownership of the EU website/s, ensuring localised content, pricing, and product availability for each market. Create and lead market-specific trading calendars to achieve targets. Manage site merchandising to reflect customer preferences and regional demand.
Campaign Delivery: Planning, briefing and executing global and regional promotional and advertising campaigns across the website and CRM to drive D2C growth. Working alongside the Head of Global Amazon and Sales Director to ensure cohesion between channels in country and the overarching marketing/promotion strategy.
Operations Oversight: Working closely with the global Supply and Logistics teams to forecast stock requirements for EU website orders via German Warehouse.
Trading: Support to deliver a strong trade and marketing plan, supported by effective online merchandising and a considered pricing and promotional strategy. Marketing team and designers available to support content briefs.
User Experience Optimisation: Identify new initiatives and ensure an exceptional customer experience by optimising the website's usability, design, and functionality. Implement and manage apps and tools to improve the customer journey, ensuring a seamless and user-friendly online shopping experience. Combine an A/B testing roadmap with support from the UK digital and Creative teams to enhance the online shopping journey and improve overall site performance.
Paid Media: manage an EU paid media agency to optimise our growth and acquisition channel specifically for Germany and then wider EU.
Analysis & Reporting: Own the data analysis of the EU websites to identify opportunities in consumer profiling and targeting working with the wider UK team. Analyse and regularly report on e-commerce performance based on a set of agreed metrics. Build an understanding of customer behaviour to drive future decision making.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with the Global functions of Marketing, Digital, Customer Service, Supply Chain, and other departments to ensure a cohesive and integrated online presence and a smooth and efficient operation. Collaborate closely with the UK D2C Team to deliver effective ecommerce strategies, market goals and initiatives.
